About Us
Our Mission
The Mission Association for Seniors Housing (M.A.S.H.) provides & encourages cooperation with area organizations in the development of affordable and accessible housing. We aim to retain and attract seniors within our community and support them to remain as their needs change. We strive to maximize scarce resources by coordinating and sharing expertise and attracting skilled partners.
Our Vision
“Caring for those who cared for us.”
Our Affiliations
M.A.S.H. belongs to the BC Non-Profit Housing Association. Funding relationships with Fraser Health and BC Housing currently exist. The City of Mission is a community partner in supporting the development of affordable housing options in the community.
Gifting Opportunities
The need for affordable housing options for seniors continues to grow. In the past, non-profit organizations like Mission Association for Seniors Housing have relied upon government assistance to provide housing.
As demographics change and government funding is spread over increasing needs, these partnerships are somewhat limited and new sources of funding are required. If you share the vision of the Mission Association for Seniors Housing and would like to partner with us or financially support us, please contact our Society office at 604 826-2194.
History
The Mission Association for Seniors Housing (M.A.S.H.) was registered under the Society Act as a non-profit society in 1999. It is a society made up of several Mission non-profit societies concerned about the lack of affordable housing options in Mission for senior citizens. Each member organization appoints 3 members to the Board of Directors. Associate membership is available to groups and individuals. These members are non-voting members and are usually people or groups who have an interest in supporting the aims and objectives of M.A.S.H.
