The Mission Association for Seniors Housing (MASH) has been operating since 1999 to “take care of those who cared for us.”

It brings to the community a number of housing styles, ranging from self-own apartments to market and subsidized rental units with services ranging from independent living to assisted living home styles. As of 2025 MASH operates four buildings in Mission and is looking to expand seniors’ housing opportunities throughout the North Fraser area in co-operation with organizations or governments that need the assistance of an experienced, and successful housing organization.

MASH is a coalition that that brings together the resources, skills, contacts and experience of a number of organizations that serve the Mission, BC, community. These range from service clubs, the Royal Canadian Legion, church housing societies and community service providers.

MASH has accessed the resources of the local community, and both the provincial and federal governments. It was a pioneer in the Life-Lease concept of housing ownership, as well as working will well-established models for both subsidized and market rental housing. MASH was able to accomplish what its smaller component members could not do alone. MASH stands ready to continue to provide housing for seniors, with various levels of needs and to expand its services to help governments and organizations meet their pledges of providing more housing in the community.
