Pharmacy Services
Pharmacy services are provided to Pleasant View Care Home by Rexall Pharmacy. They are responsible for filling all medication prescriptions and dispensing all medications in blister pak form for the facility whether the medication is a prescription or “over the counter”. The pharmacy invoices the resident/family monthly for medications not covered by Pharmacare.
The pharmacist also provides clinical support and advice to physicians, nurses, and reviews medication prescriptions to ensure the combination of drugs is safe and effective. They participate in medication reviews quarterly and investigates any medication errors to ensure systems of dispensing and administration are as safe as possible.
