Meet the Staff
The key person the resident and family will be in contact with when admission is approved is the Director of Care – Beverley Robson. She along with the Nurse Team Leaders will coordinate the admission process to be a smooth as possible. There is a Registered Nurse in the building 24 hours a day, and nurses coordinate the overall care services for the resident. The Director of Care is the main ongoing contact for a family member who has a concern about the resident or their care if the question or concern cannot easily be addressed by one of the staff.
The Director of Care reviews ongoing research that identifies better ways of providing care, meets with colleagues to develop good practices for residential care in Fraser Health, and works with staff groups to refine the services internally as we learn new ways to do things for residents. Her job includes ensuring quality of care standards are met, policies and procedures are in place, incidents are reviewed, and staff education is supported and provided.
There is a team of nurses and care aides on every shift who are responsible for ensuring the personal care needs of the residents are met and that any changes in their health status is reviewed by the nurse and any other professionals required to address the changes.
