Environmental Services
This department manages housekeeping and laundry services and they work closely with care services and residents to provide a clean, safe, healthy place to live and work. They are responsible for moving a lot of furniture and so there are guidelines for how heavy and how mobile pieces of furniture are. They label all clothing so it is less likely to be misplaced. They wash all the house linens and residents’ personal clothing. However, the laundry equipment is commercial washers and dryers so they are hard on clothing.
Housekeeping staff are in the building from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm seven days a week. Laundry staff are in the building from 6:00 pm to 2:00 pm seven days a week.
Maintenance is a part-time service that is mainly available on-site Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Families are welcome to leave messages for maintenance via other staff if paths don’t cross.
